Are you ‘cup-curious’? Are you interested in using a menstrual cup but aren’t quite sure? Look no further… CupAware is here for you!

Come to a CupAware Party in December!

At a CupAware Party, you will learn all you need to know to get cup-confident with a small group of like-minded people!

CupAware is a partnership between The Cup Effect and Bloody Good Period, an amazing organisation that provides period supplies to refugees, asylum seekers and those who can’t afford them in the UK.

We believe that everyone should be able to make an informed choice about whether to use a cup or not. We feel strongly that this works best when those trying them for the first time get to be part of a community of other cup users. Our CupAware Parties are designed to give you the information you need whilst enabling us to provide the same service for groups of asylum seekers, refugees or others on low incomes in the UK.

Your CupAware Party ticket costs £15, the price includes:

  • A light-hearted evening of playful conversation led by Mandu, The Cup Effect’s founder (or one of her team) covering literally everything you need to know about cups, including real, honest guidance and taboo-busting discussions about periods and your fanny;
  • Wine and snacks; and
  • A contribution towards providing cups and CupAware Workshop session for an asylum seekers, refugees or others on low incomes.

I’m interested… but I have questions:

Nice one! I’m already a cup evangelist, can I still take part?

Of course! Come along with your yet-to-be-convinced pals and enjoy the wine – if that’s your thing! Even if you know everything there is to know about the greatest unsung invention of the 20th century, your ticket means that another woman will get to share in the glory of the cup!

I’m trans, non-binary, non-menstruating… can I still come?

Of course! It doesn’t matter if you don’t menstruate, if you never have, or once did but no longer do. If you identify as a woman but do not currently or will never have your own vagina, you are also most welcome. If you’re a cis man reading this and you feel left out, don’t worry! We’ll all for putting the ‘men’ into menstruation and so will be doing sessions with you in mind very soon! Watch this space…

I like the idea, but I’d rather do it with close friends, rather than people I don’t know.

No problem! If you can get together a group of around 10 to take part, we’ll run a closed group for you!
